The Art of Framing:

A Look Back at 2025’s Most Inspiring Projects

At Frame Today, every frame tells a story and 2025 was packed with incredible stories! From rare music posters and Indigenous artworks to Paralympic medals and heirloom embroidery, we had the privilege of preserving memories and transforming treasures into timeless displays.

Here’s a look back at 10 of our favourite custom framing projects from 2025 - each one unique, inspiring, and crafted with care.

1. Preserving Paralympic History: Troy Puttergill’s Medals

One of the most inspiring projects of the year came from our Warners Bay store, where we framed nine national swimming medals belonging to Australian Paralympian Troy Puttergill. Spanning from 1999 to 2012, these medals represent a remarkable sporting career.

We used museum-quality materials, a Moda Gold Foil Italian frame, layered acid-free matboards, and Tru Vue Premium Clear glass to ensure Troy’s achievements are preserved for generations. This frame isn’t just a display; it’s a celebration of resilience and excellence.

2. Indigenous Aboriginal Canvas Art by Miranda Hampson

We’ve been proud to frame the stunning works of Miranda Hampson, an Anaiwan Indigenous artist whose storytelling on canvas continues to captivate audiences. Her latest exhibition sold out, and we were honoured to stretch and frame her powerful pieces.

Custom framing for Indigenous art requires precision and respect for cultural significance. Our team used premium canvas stretching techniques and conservation-grade materials to protect these works while showcasing their vibrant beauty.

3. Ben Quilty Limited Edition Print

Ben Quilty, an internationally acclaimed artist and Archibald Prize winner, has produced a small number of limited edition prints, and one was entrusted to our Mittagong store to frame. We selected a Black with Gold Edinburgh frame, paired with a White Sale matboard and Tru Vue Ultra Vue glass for crystal-clear protection.

This project highlights how custom framing enhances and protects fine art, ensuring longevity and elegance for collectors.
