A Close Look at Marilyn Manson's Framed Memorabilia

Preserving Rock Legends

Framing Marilyn Manson's Tambourine

In the world of music memorabilia, certain items carry a profound significance for fans. One such prized possession is a stage-used tambourine by Marilyn Manson, dating back to 2015. For our customer and devoted fan, this memorabilia is more than just a piece of Manson's stage gear; it's a tangible connection to the artist's energy and creativity.

So, when framing this piece, Cate, Tom and I took meticulous care throughout the framing process so this dedicated collector could showcase their most treasured possession.

The Framing Process

Handling such a precious item requires the utmost care. Described by our customer as their most prized possession, the Marilyn Manson stage-used tambourine was treated with 'kid gloves' by our Lambton store framers throughout the framing process. The delicate nature of the tambourine prompted careful attachment with wire in strategic places, ensuring its structural integrity and reversibility (in the unlikely event they wish to unframe the item). However, the preservation efforts went beyond mere protection.

A thoughtfully designed matboard was introduced to create visual interest around the tambourine. The mat served not only as a framing element but also contributed to the overall aesthetics, enhancing the presentation of this iconic piece. To safeguard against external elements and ensure longevity, the tambourine was encased in conservation glass, providing both protection and clarity for admirers to appreciate every detail.

Adding Context to the Artifact

Initially, the collector was hesitant about adding a plaque to the display. However, the decision to include one turned out to be a stroke of brilliance. While the tambourine is a very personal item for the collector, the addition of a plaque serves to enrich the narrative. The plaque provides insights into the markings on the tambourine, unravelling the story behind each stain, and thus, adding depth to the collector's connection with Marilyn Manson.

Framing Australian Rock Artists Jacket

The collector's passion for music memorabilia extends beyond the tambourine. Another notable item in our customers collection is a jacket worn onstage by the lead singer of Thy Art is Murder, and Australian rock band from Sydney and one of their favourite artists.

To elevate the presentation, the customer opted for a framed display that not only includes the jacket but also features captivating photos of the artist donning the iconic garment during a live performance. This immersive approach allows fans to relive the energy of the live performance, capturing a moment frozen in time. Very cool.

In the realm of music memorabilia, the preservation of these iconic items goes beyond mere fandom; it's a labour of love and dedication.
